| Not easy to
choose a puppy when we can evaluate them only by the
pictures and the breeder's commentaries. Good thing to
have worked with Beata from Deabei kennel, she takes a lot
of pictures, video and give us a lot of infos on the
temperament, the body in her feeling but as she wrote so
well: today it's that but may be completely different
tomorrow principaly when we speak about temperament.
He's the one I decided to take on the 6 males but the
choice was really not easy. He was one of my best ones since the week 2, was in the top "3" pretty all the time and
when I saw the 8 weeks old pictures, my decision was easy. After some adventures, Cami came to us. My friend Ros nicknamed him "Tomba" because he likes to be very close to us, in our legs and then many times, we are close to fall. Tomba is from the french verb "tomber" who mean fall ! I'm thinking seriously if I keep that name, he looks to like it !!! He has an excellent temperament, it was we see in first from that "little" piece of dog: very social, not very dominant, love to play and tug, does a heel walk after one walk and naturally I didn't ask anything, very not a lot of things or new places disturb him. Not sure I can call him "little", he was already 9 kg (18-19 pounds) at 10½ weeks old !!! Very good structure too but hard to judge actually, he has so much coat. He has an excellent rear angulation and the front one is very good too, very good bones. The breeding that Beata has done is very interesting since the father is "Samlo de la Terre Aimée", a Tervuren from 2 malinois and as far as I can check (8-9 generations minimum), only malinois behind. I wanted to use him (Samlo) myself in my breeding program but didn't have the chance. Then for me, one very interesting point in that litter is to bring "new blood", new genes in our "terv genes pool" in our magnificiant Tervuren without to loose on the structure, neither on the temperament and with good type too. |
